To implement the national strategy of industry-education integration and promote the alignment of university intellectual resources with enterprise needs, on the morning of January 20, 2026, the signing and unveiling ceremony of the Graduate Workstation between Xuzhou University of Technology and Jiangsu Pailazi Food Co., Ltd. was held at the Sui Wellness Science Museum. Attendees included Zhao Jianqiang, Deputy Director of the Academic Research Office of Xuzhou University of Technology; Dong Yuwei, Deputy Dean of the School of Food and Biological Engineering, along with faculty and student representatives; Zhang Jianqiu, Deputy Director of the Education Bureau of Tongshan District, Xuzhou; Yu Yang, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of the High-tech Zone; and Zhao Baomin, Chairman of Jiangsu Pailazi Food Co., Ltd., among other enterprise representatives. The meeting was presided over by Director Yu Nannan.
Deputy Director Zhang Jianqiu delivered a congratulatory speech, noting that university-enterprise cooperation is a vital pathway for the integration of the "four chains" and that the workstation provides two-way support for talent cultivation and enterprise upgrading. He expressed hope that both parties would take this cooperation as an opportunity to deepen their focus on the food industry, create a model of dual-high synergy, and cultivate outstanding talent for regional industrial development.
Deputy Director Zhao Jianqiang introduced the university's educational characteristics and achievements in industry-academia-research collaboration, emphasizing the university's commitment to its positioning of "rooted in Xuzhou, serving the region." He noted that the School of Food and Biological Engineering possesses excellent resources and strong research capabilities. The joint establishment of the workstation is an important measure to deepen the reform of the training model, and the university will leverage its disciplinary and talent advantages to empower the enterprise, achieving mutual benefits for both the university and the enterprise.
Chairman Zhao Baomin introduced the company's advantages, highlighting that Pailazi, with its core LMD low-temperature composite dehydration technology, is highly competitive in the fruit and vegetable processing sector. He stated that the workstation will build a platform for talent and R&D, relying on university strengths to overcome technical challenges and drive transformation, while also providing practical opportunities for graduate students, thereby achieving dual-high synergistic development.
At the ceremony, Dong Yuwei and Zhu Taihai signed the joint construction cooperation agreement for the graduate workstation on behalf of both parties, clarifying the responsibilities and obligations of the cooperation.
Subsequently, Zhao Jianqiang and Zhao Baomin jointly unveiled the workstation, marking the official entry of the cooperation into a substantive stage.
Deputy Director Yu Yang expressed expectations for the workstation's development, stating that the Science and Technology Bureau of the High-tech Zone will fully provide policy and service support. He hoped that both parties would use the workstation as a carrier to explore the "industry-academia-research-application" model and inject new vitality into the regional food industry cluster.
This signing and unveiling ceremony represents a practical step by both parties to deepen industry-education integration, building an innovative bridge for collaborative talent cultivation. In the future, both parties will focus on talent development and scientific research breakthroughs, contributing to the high-quality development of the local food industry.
